Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital Celebrates the Installation of the Final Beam to its Seven-story Patient Tower
It’s official. The final steel beam has been installed at the site of Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital’s multi-million dollar, seven-story patient tower, bringing the project one step closer to completion.
During the celebration held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, to celebrate the construction milestone, Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital leaders and staff were joined by members of the construction team, as well as city officials, to witness the beam being raised to the topmost part of the tower. The beam, adorned with a pine tree, the American flag, and the hospital brand logo, was signed by hospital employees, local physicians, the construction workers on the project and community members during the special event.
Prior to the installation of the final beam, a ceremonial program was held with messages offered by Brad Neet, UHS Group Vice President; Annette LaRocque, SWH Inland Valley Hospital Chairwoman; Bridgette Moore, Mayor Pro-Tem City of Wildomar; David Frye, HOK; Bob Gorham, DPR Construction; and Jared Giles, SWH Inland Valley Hospital CEO.
The new seven-story patient tower at Inland Valley will feature modern, private patient rooms, installation of advanced clinical technologies for minimally invasive procedures and advanced therapies, and globally sustainable infrastructure enhancements including energy-efficient LED fixtures and solar panels. The Inland Valley campus will continue to feature the award-winning services of bariatric weight-loss surgery; the total joint program for hip, knee and shoulder replacement; an advanced certified primary stroke center, surgical services for spine and the region’s only Level II American College of Surgeons (ACS) Verified Trauma Center.
